This visa lets people between 18 to 30 years old (or 35 years old for a few countries) have their first extended holiday in Australia and work here to assist with funding their trip.

- Travel to and from Australia as repeatedly as you would like
- Work for 3 months to get eligible to apply for a second working holiday visa You must:
- Have a passport from a selected country or jurisdiction
- Be 18 to 30 years old (or 35 years old for a few countries)
- Apply online from outside Australia
- Not be accompanied by dependent children
- Not have previously applied for Australia on subclass 417 or 462 visa
- Maintain adequate health insurance.
- You must have enough money to assist yourself while you are in Australia and leave Australia at the end of your stay. This usually costs about AUD5,000 for your initial stay.
